Higromas são coleções localizadas no espaço subdural com diversas causas e prognóstico variável. Mais frequente em idosos, tornou-se mais comum em pacientes jovens em virtude do aumento do número de craniotomias descompressivas, sobretudo para traumatismos cranianos graves. Este artigo revisita os principais aspectos fisiopatológicos, diagnósticos, terapêuticos e
prognósticos dos higromas subdurais em pacientes não craniectomizados.
